Try a little experiment. Pick a day—let’s say, tomorrow. Throughout that whole day, really look at the people around you. Look at what they eat and how they do it. How do they react to it? How does it make them feel? Does it give them pleasure and satisfaction? Also, notice where they get their food from, if you can.

1. Quantity – The size of a single meal vs. the size of our stomach. The amount of food you eat at one time is strictly tied to the size of your stomach. To feel good in your body and feel good in general, your stomach should be kept at its constant, natural size.

2. Quality – Building our body and satisfying our senses. What we eat, what we like, what we should eat, what we shouldn’t eat, what harms us. The scale of benefits: taste and desire vs. health and well-being.

3. Frequency – Hunger and eating, snacking, conscious eating, setting goals for your meals.

4. The Way The Food is Eaten – Before food reaches your mouth: savoring the meal, the look, and the smell. When food reaches your mouth: preparing, chewing, savoring the taste.
